The first man-trip

A couple of weeks ago Slater and Wade took their first "man-trip" together. They went cabin camping with the snowmachines. Slater entertained the cousins and found a pretty lady to snuggle with for a few minutes. I know that his Dad looks forward to many more trips like this one.


Having a chat with Mom while the cabin warms up. Aren't cellphones the greatest invention ever? It was strange to have him away from me for the night, but great to know that he enjoyed his dad-time! He missed his mom a little at bed time, but was excited about his new sleeping bag and to tired from all the days events to fuss ... such a good kid.


By 18 months Slater already loved the snowmachine and at three he can ride like a champ. In the middle is a bar to grip while you are mountain riding or turning sharply, but as far as Slater is concerned it is his handlebar.


Love this face! What is he thinking? Will I ever know? Is he going to be one to keep his thoughts to himself or chatter away?


Hanging out on the tailgate, out of the way while Dad puts the machines up on the trailer. Loving all the spring sunshine!!
