Jade has taken off in the pool. Last week for the first time she let go and started swimming on her own (well almost on her own she has a float). Bobbing along upright in the pool and kicking her legs like pistons. "I'm doing it all-by-my-self. Look at me!!!"
This week she continued with the same gusto. Getting strapped into her float and jumping into the pool ahead of the rest of us. She struck out for the middle giggling and kicking like crazy! This week we worked on adding arm motions to her swimming repertoire. She paddled around for nearly 45 minutes today, smiling, laughing and staying warm :) It was amazing to be in the pool with two swimming kids.
PS Slater is in lesson right now and swam from the edge of the pool out to the floats and back ON HIS OWN!! No float at all! It was a doggy paddle with his face out of the water, but it was independent swimming.
Pretty proud of both of our little swimmers.
