SPLENDID SATURDAY:
... kicked off with a special delivery to a friend in need:
Pedialyte Popsicles and a latte!
The first was for a sick little girl and the second was for mom, who had been up all night doing laundry and taking care of her darling daughter. Thank goodness everyone is doing well now!!
Second we made another delivery to Grandma's sewing retreat. Normally the last weekend in January is bitter cold and these twenty ladies are desperately in need of a coffee fix, but this year the weather was balmy (15 above!!). In spite of the warm weather the coffee delivery is now a tradition and we enjoyed seeing all of the projects and the kids loved all the extra grandmas giving them attention.
The day ended by introducing friends to the wonders of the Wii and having a fun dinner with a nacho bar and brownies!! (Yummy!!)

SIMPLY SUNDAY:
Well today was an interesting one ;P
The babe woke up clingy and fussy, the mood continued into swim time, lunch and finally ended with an early nap that lasted for 2.5 hours. Thank goodness that did the trick and we got our smiley helper back. Here she is setting the table for dinner - she loves to put out the silverware and plates. And, yes she is still in jammies - the day just sort of happened that way :)
Our car had a mishap today - although we have no clue how it happened. When we drove to the pool everything was fine and on the way home we heard a loud snap (like glass breaking), but our windshield was unharmed so we figured it was backfiring from another car. When Slater and I went to get the groceries he pointed to the moonroof and said - "Mommy it's broken." At first I thought it was iced up, but no!! Slater was right the glass was completely cracked and broken.
Did it crack due to the temperature changes? pressure change? what? Our lovely car is less than a year old so the warranty will fix it, but how did it happen? A Sunday mystery and something to deal with Monday morning.
MANIC MONDAY:
After an entire month of calling in, my number has come up and I need to report for jury duty tomorrow **sigh** The one day that we really NEED to have two working cars... OK done feeling sorry for myself. This week is going to be a good one - February is starting and January (the month of sickness, back-pain, cold weather and jury duty) will soon be a distant memory.
Oh my gosh! First of all, crazy thing about that moon roof! I wonder if the repair guys can tell you why it happened. And as for jury duty, how did it go? I had that in November, and I totally dreaded it, but it turned out better than I'd hoped. I was Juror #1 and got to sit in the box until they booted me b/c the judge knew Tim. :-) But it was kind of exciting for a bit! What did you think??
