Four years of lovin' you...

Our beautiful brown-eyed boy turned four today. He chats, makes phone calls, sings happy birthday, orders his own birthday present, and has a wonderful imagination.

This is a brief summary of his talents and haunts from this summer. We love you little man!

Visitor of all recreational sites

Whistler extraordinaire

Lover of the great outdoors, no rock is too high or camping trip too long

An I-spy expert

A beach-combing, rock throwing, Star Wars enthusiast

A back-pack carrying, counting, letter reciting preschooler!

Giant slide rider

Wii Remington Bird Hunting decoy shooter and sword fighter

Ticker holder!

World class morning snuggler

The best big brother a girl could want - who else would show her how to do somersaults and jump on the bed?

Could live on dairy products and fruit

A dragon tamer

Jengo Fett does not need a jet pack!

Balancer extraordinaire

Everything is climbable.

Monkey bars madness, he has the hanging-and-swinging-his-feet-up-part down pat, but he can't swing from one rung to the next very well. He is fearless about dropping from the bars.

Master Yoda uses the force to rule the playground

So Master Yoda would never mis-use the force that way - but the big kids sure thought she looked adorable and peppered her with Star Wars trivia.

Trying to keep up with big brother is tough when your legs just aren't that long.

A little help from my friend...

The conversation went a little like this:

S: This is a good one
J: Oh yea!
S: Try putting it here
J: OK brother - Yeah it works
S: Good job Jade!! Try another one

Jengo Fett the bounty hunter

For the love of Star Wars - why does the boy like the bad guys? Storm Troopers, Darth Vader and Jengo Fett?

Well his birthday present arrived a little early and we wisely decided that we would give it to him now. Hopefully the novelty will have worn off by next week and we will not have to peel it from his screaming body to deliver him to the first day of daycare.

Front view of the full costume - body armor, blaster, gloves, belt, helmet, and jet pack.

Rear view of the AWESOME jet pack. DH has informed me that it is adjustable to adult sizes...

The bounty hunter and his fan club.

Master Yoda is pretty damn cute too!

The bounty hunter has been assigned a target and using all of his stealth to make a sneak attack on the galactic dog! Hopefully she will be able to evade him!!

Little botanist

Slater has enjoyed collecting leaves this summer. Different colors, shapes and sizes have all been collected and discussed. Berry picking (raspberry and blueberry) has also been popular. His constant chatter makes everyone feel that bears are alerted to our presence.

Mini-kayaker

Dad is not the only one enjoying the new toy! It is a little difficult to kayak with a child and take photos so these are all on land.
Snacking before kayaking

No trash onboard
That's right - she is a paddling princess!!
