100% Boy

Made a trip to visit Grandma and Grandpa this week in Cantwell. It was great to get out of the smoke and be able to enjoy the outdoors. Slater explored the neighbors Cat, the trains with Grandpa, went four-wheeling with Dad and blueberry picking with Mom and Grandma.

He loves anything with an engine and has been to cooped up with all the smoke in Fairbanks. We could barely get him to come inside. We borrowed a friends camper and Wade and Slater "camped" out each night. It was hard to get him to sleep, he was having too much fun.

The first week

We have now had the new baby home for a week. As all newborns do, she sleeps a LOT!! Everyone in the house tries to sleep while she does.

There is one pre-Jade photo in here. I love seeing Slater sound asleep on top of the bump that will be his sister soon.

Grandma spent the week with us and got in lots of Slater time and even held the new baby a time or two. Thanks for coming!!

Lost and Found

So I found some lost photos that I meant to post. I guess better late than never. Memorial day up the river and some fun things we did this spring.

Jade has arrived!!

The new addition to the family. Little Miss Jade arrived on July 22nd at 2:52 am, less than 20 minutes after we got to the hospital. Good thing that Dad is a excellent driver under pressure!! She has a wisp of blond hair and blue eyes (for the moment). Everyone is home and doing well. Slater-Bug is adjusting to the new addition, he wants to hug her and point out all her parts (eyes being his favorite).

Not the best photo but while I was attempting to soundproof his ceiling in preparation for the new baby, he decided I needed some help. Boy was he right! The helmet was decided upon because of his need to climb the ladder. He, as always was a big help.

Hangin with the Cousin

I love Puns! Slater was playing and decided his string cheese was not interesting enough so he put it some place safe for later.
