Jade has arrived!!

The new addition to the family. Little Miss Jade arrived on July 22nd at 2:52 am, less than 20 minutes after we got to the hospital. Good thing that Dad is a excellent driver under pressure!! She has a wisp of blond hair and blue eyes (for the moment). Everyone is home and doing well. Slater-Bug is adjusting to the new addition, he wants to hug her and point out all her parts (eyes being his favorite).

My little helper

Not the best photo but while I was attempting to soundproof his ceiling in preparation for the new baby, he decided I needed some help. Boy was he right! The helmet was decided upon because of his need to climb the ladder. He, as always was a big help.

Hangin with the Cousin

Slater and Owen at Harding Lake enjoying the sun and water. We meet my cousins at the lake and we skiid and swam. Great day to be in the water.

Look ! A cheese grater!

I love Puns! Slater was playing and decided his string cheese was not interesting enough so he put it some place safe for later.

Ahhhhh.....summer!

This summer has been so nice! We have been going to Chena Lakes with friends once a week and even made it out to Harding Lake twice. Wade found out he can still waterski....after a two year break. Slater has loved the water, he even walked out neck deep with Dad! We are excited about swim lessons in the future.

How much for one of those?

A morning of shopping with his buddy Evelyn. She let us know, "Slater is heavy!" He didn't want to ride in our shopping cart, but was happy to be pushed around in this one.

Summer Fun

With summer in full swing we are getting outdoors and keeping busy. Slater loves to haul wood with Mom and Dad. He works on all parts of the operation, going out into the woods, unloading the truck, and hauling away the scrapes. Riding the 4-wheeler is his favorite.

There is also a new slide for the front yard, but Slater seems to like the box it came in as much as he likes the slide. He calls it his "fort" and spends at least an hour everyday taking things in and out of it.

Motorcross in the pool. After putting the little dump truck in he decided that his bigger vehicles should also make the trip.

The last shot is splashing around at Chena Lakes with Dad. Next time Dad is taking his swim trunks and will probably be splashing with him.
